Are you thinking about buying a Russell Hobbs toaster? In this article we will review some of the most popular Russell Hobbs toasters.
If you are looking for a Russell Hobbs toaster you want to make sure that you get the right one. One that is going to last you for years to come and give you the best toasting experience possible. Let’s now go on to review some of the most popular Russell Hobbs toasters.
The first toaster that we are going to look at is the Russell Hobbs 14492 2 Slice Nevada Toaster, Polished Stainless Steel
Features:
* Stylish, highly polished 2-slice toaster
* Variable browning control with LED indicators that flash for countdown of toasting
* Cancel, frozen bread and reheat functions
* High lift so you can remove the bread easily
* Push-in/out crumb tray, so that there will be no mess on your worktop
This is a very attractive toaster and it does have nice features. I thought that the finish would be hard to keep looking nice but it’s actually pretty easy to clean on the outside as well as the crumb tray. Since it does have this finish you can match it with just about anything that you like.
What I love about this toaster is that it has extra wide toasting slots so that you never have to worry about your bread being too thick and then you having to slice it down even thinner. With this Russell Hobbs toaster you can have your toast as big as you like.
Do you ever toast frozen bread? Even if you haven’t tried it you can do it now. This is quite a neat feature if you ask me. Simply use the setting for frozen bread to automatically adjust the toasting time and give the same degree of browning as you would get with bread that was not frozen.
If you have ever accidentally left your toast and it’s cooled down more than you like you can just hit the reheat button for a quick burst of heat. I find this quite helpful since I forget easily.
The cancel button is pretty self explanatory but it is a real luxury after you have used toasters without one.
The next Russell Hobbs toaster we will look at is the Russell Hobbs 13361 Glass 4 Slice Toaster.
This one happens to be my favorite. I absolutely love the design and am fascinated by things made of glass. The look isn’t going to be what is really important however so let’s take a look at the features.
Features
* Stylish four-slice glass toaster with independent two-slice operation
* Frozen bread’ and ‘cancel’ functions
* Removable crumb tray
* Long slot with centring guides
* Variable browning control with LED indicator
Another great list of features. My favorite however has to but the 4 slice option. We have a big family with impatient young boys and the more toast you can pop out at a time the better! On the other hand when me and my mate are having lunch by ourselves it’s nice to be able to use the independent two-slice operation.
This toaster works nicely most of the time but I would nice recommend putting slim slice toast in since it can get caught. I wouldn’t put this as the fault of the toaster but simply because the bread is so small.
One other thing that I have noticed and you can read in the manual is that it is suggested that you switch the machine off when you are not using it. I would do this anyway so that is not a problem for me but some people seem to have an issue with it.
All and all this is a good Russell Hobbs toaster and you will be able to get evenly sliced toast every time that you use this model.
The last toaster we are going to look at is the Russell Hobbs 14361 Classic 2 Slice Toaster in black
I like the look of this one as well. It is less flashy than the glass model but you can add it to any home without causing any clashes.
Features:
* Striking jet black finish with longer slots to fit all bread sizes
* Frozen bread and cancel functions
* Removable crumb tray for ease of cleaning
* Variable browning control
* High lift for easy removal of toasted bread
Ok first two things that I love about this toaster besides for the look:
Be able to use the variable brown settings to get whatever level of browning that I want AND the longer slots makes it so that I do not have to cut my long pieces of bread! Genius!
Some people have said this toaster is a little bit slower than some but hey I would much rather wait for my toast for a couple of seconds longer than have it smashed up in a quick toaster. That’s not a winning situation at all.
You can get a nice even toasting and it’s quit easy to clean if you just run a bit of stainless steel over it.
Conclusion
So which one is my pick? It’s really up to you now isn’t it? Do you want to toast big thick slices of bread? Long slices of bread? What style do you want? When you figure it out you can pick a Russell Hobbs toaster that is just right for you.
